Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has invited online applications for Combined Recruitment Examination 2025 for total 3250 positions under various roles including Revenue Inspector, ICDS Supervisor, Village Agricultural Worker, Junior Assistant, Assistant Revenue Inspector, Amin and Statistical Field Surveyors. These positions involve field and administrative work within specific districts, such as revenue collection, agricultural assistance, and departmental support services.

  • Age Relaxation:
    • 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC and Women.
    • 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
    • Up to 5 years for candidates with experience in settlement/consolidation (for RI, ARI, and Amin).
    • Ex-servicemen receive relaxation based on years of service or 5 years depending on the post.
  • Language Requirement: Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and have passed Middle English School or Matriculation with Odia as a subject/medium.
  • District Restriction: For Junior Assistant, candidates must belong to the district they apply for and be registered in that district's Employment Exchange. Candidates registered in a State or Special Employment Exchange (and not in the District Employment Exchange) must upload both the Resident Certificate of their home district and the Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will consist of the Written Test, Practical Skill Test in Basic Computer Skills, Document Verification and Counselling, before formation of final merit list.

Stage-I: Written Test

The Written Test will be conducted for 100 marks. It will be an objective type test (MCQ) and will be held in OMR/CBRE mode. The standard of the Written Test will be equivalent to the HSC Exam (High School).

  • Negative marking will be applicable. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Minimum qualifying marks will be 35% for UR category and 30% for SC/ST/PwD/Ex-Servicemen categories.
  • For Village Agricultural Worker post, candidates possessing Diploma in Agriculture (from OUAT) will be awarded 5% extra marks in the Written Test.

Stage-II: Practical Skill Test in Basic Computer Skills

Candidates shortlisted in written test will appear in Practical Skill Test in Basic Computer Skills, which will be conducted for 50 marks with a duration of 1 hour. This test will be of qualifying nature. Minimum qualifying marks will be 40% for all categories.

Number of candidates to be shortlisted for the Practical Skill Test will be at least three times the number of advertised vacancies (category-wise), based on merit and availability.

Stage-III: Document Verification

Document Verification will be conducted for candidates shortlisted after the Practical Skill Test. Candidates will be required to produce original documents in support of age, educational qualification, category, disability, employment exchange registration, domicile, and other eligibility conditions.

Candidates qualifying the Practical Skill Test will be shortlisted for Document Verification from, in a number at least 1.25 times the vacancies (category-wise).Counselling will be conducted for choice of post and department/district/range for shortlisted candidates.

Fee Structure :

Applicable application fee is to be paid online. Fee structure is -

  • Unreserved (UR) / SEBC candidates: Rs. 500
  • SC / ST / PwD candidates: Exempted

  5. Final Submission
    1. Verify all entered details carefully before final submission.

    3. Registration will be open from 07-01-2026 to 31-01-2026.
    4. Online application submission will be allowed from 07-01-2026 to 07-02-2026.
  6. Post-Submission

Medical and Physical Fitness Conditions
  • For the post of Excise Constable, candidates must not have knock knee, bow legs, flat foot, varicose veins, squint in eyes, poor vision, colour blindness, inability to flex fingers properly, speech or hearing impediment, or any other obvious deformity.

Mode of Recruitment :

The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages including Written Examination, Physical Standard Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.

Stage I – Written Examination

The Written Examination will be conducted first and will be objective in nature. The examination will be held either in OMR based or Computer Based mode as decided by the Commission.

Written Examination will carry negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. There will be no penalty for leaving a question unanswered. The Written Examination will have minimum qualifying marks prescribed category-wise.

  • Unreserved category candidates will be required to secure at least 30% marks.
  • SC, ST, Persons with Disabilities, and Ex-Servicemen candidates will be required to secure at least 35% marks.

In case two or more candidates secure equal marks in the Written Examination, the tie will be resolved by applying the following criteria in the same order.

  • The candidate with lesser wrong number of wrong attempts will be placed higher in the merit list.
  • If the tie continues further, the candidate older in age will be placed higher in the merit list.

For the post of Excise Constable, candidates possessing NCC certificate will be given additional maks - 1 Mark for NCC 'B' Certificate amd 2 marks for NCC 'C' Certificate.

Stage II – Physical Standard Measurement Test (PSM / PST)

The Physical Standard Measurement Test will be conducted to verify height, chest, and weight standards as prescribed for the respective posts. Candidates who fail to meet the prescribed standards will not be allowed to participate in further stages. The number of candidates shortlisted for the Physical Test will not be less than three times the number of vacancies.

Stage III – Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates qualifying the Physical Standard Measurement Test will appear in the Physical Efficiency Test. The PET will be qualifying in nature.

Stage IV – Document Verification

Stage V – Medical Examination

Candidates found eligible after Document Verification will undergo Medical Examination to ensure compliance with prescribed medical and physical fitness standards. Final selection will be based on merit (Written test) subject to medical fitness.

  • UR / SEBC candidates: ₹500
  • SC / ST / PWD candidates: ₹200
